Welcome to our school's Music program! From pre-K to 8th grade, our students have the opportunity to explore a range of musical genres, develop their musical skills and knowledge, and gain an appreciation for the role of music in society and culture.
In our pre-K and elementary grades, students are introduced to basic musical concepts, such as rhythm, melody, and harmony, through singing, movement, and playing various instruments. Through interactive and engaging learning experiences, they develop their listening skills, coordination, and self-expression.
In our middle school grades, students have the opportunity to build on their skills and explore more advanced musical concepts and genres, such as jazz, classical music, and world music. They also learn about the history and cultural context of different musical traditions and styles.
Our Music program is designed to be inclusive, challenging, and inspiring, and to provide students with opportunities to develop their musical skills and knowledge, collaborate with others, and express themselves through music.
We are proud of the work that our students produce and invite you to listen to their performances and projects on our school website. Thank you for supporting the Music program at our school!
Music education is not just about playing an instrument. It's about learning to listen, to work together, to appreciate other cultures, and to express yourself in a way that words cannot.
