Pre-K and Kindergarten

FLL (First Lego League Explore): Young learners explore STEM concepts through hands-on activities, robotics, and teamwork in a fun and engaging environment.

Elementary’s Academic Teams

Math Team: Students develop problem-solving and analytical skills through school-wide and external competitions such as IMC, MathCon, Copernicus and more. Activities are tailored to their grade level, emphasizing foundational math concepts.

Science Team: Students explore scientific concepts and experiments, participating in science fairs and collaborative projects that foster curiosity and critical thinking.

Bebras Team: Students engage in computational thinking challenges through the Bebras Challenge, which introduces logic and computer science concepts in an age-appropriate way.

FLL Team: The First Lego League introduces students to robotics and STEM challenges, encouraging creativity and teamwork to solve real-world problems.

Spelling Bee: The Spelling Bee at Horizon Leadership Academy is a celebrated event that encourages students to enhance their vocabulary, spelling skills, and public speaking confidence. Through friendly competition, participants showcase their hard work and dedication while fostering a love for language and learning.

Middle School (6th to 8th Grade)

Math Team: Middle school students tackle advanced challenges, preparing for competitions like MathCounts and Math Olympiads, while developing critical thinking and collaboration skills.

Science Team: Students deepen their scientific understanding through experiments, STEM projects, and participation in science fairs, tackling more complex concepts and real-world applications.

Bebras Team: This team enhances computational thinking and problem-solving skills through the Bebras Challenge, introducing middle schoolers to real-world computer science and programming applications.

FLL Team: Middle schoolers engage in robotics and STEM research through the First Lego League, solving real-world challenges and competing at regional and national levels.

Aerial Drone Competition: Students design, program, and operate drones in the Aerial Drone Competition, applying engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork skills to innovative STEM challenges.

Genius Olympiad: Students tackle global issues through science, art, business, and technology projects, aiming to create solutions with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
